Show #24:
Brian Willmont
NEVERMORE
Curated by Jacob Rhodes
Dates: January 9th - February 21st
ARTIST TALK: Friday, February 20th, 7pm
Field Projects is pleased to present NEVERMORE, an exhibition of new work by Brian Willmont. Continuing his investigation into graphic abstraction, Willmont combines painting techniques- from tromp l’oeil and airbrush to hard edge abstraction- to create a unique visual vocabulary that is at once phenomenological and atmospheric. Employing a surprising palette of bright pastels, Willmont’s paintings hum, pulse and vibrate, before coming into focus.
Born in Boston, Brian Willmont received his B.F.A. with High Distinction from the Massachusetts College of Art. He has had solo shows in NY, Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco. Brian Willmont lives and works in NYC.
